Answers to common questions about the market data, tools, and how to use this tracker.
Does this show the whole Indian stock market?
Yes. You can search for any ticker or company listed on the NSE or BSE using the search bar at the top. For the "Top Gainers" and "Movers" lists, we focus on the Nifty 200 (the 200 largest, most liquid companies) to ensure the data is accurate, fast, and represents stocks that are actually tradable for retail investors.
Can I save stocks to a personal Watchlist?
Yes. Click the ★ star button on any Popular Stocks card or on the search result card to pin it to My Watchlist. The watchlist appears at the top of the page and shows live prices that refresh every 20 seconds. It is saved in your browser's local storage — no account needed, and it persists when you close and reopen the page. You can also quickly re-search any recent stock from the Recently Searched chips above the Popular Stocks section.
What does the Commodities & FX section show?
The Commodities & FX section shows live prices for Gold 24K & 22K (per 10g), Silver (per 10g), Crude Oil (WTI barrel), Natural Gas, Copper (per kg), and live FX rates for USD, GBP, and EUR vs INR. Metal prices are calculated from COMEX futures converted to INR with Indian import duties (15%) and GST (3%) applied.
How often is the market data updated?
During market hours (9:15 AM – 3:30 PM IST), live indices and stock prices refresh every 20 seconds. Global cues and commodity prices are updated throughout the day.
How is the Gold and Silver price calculated?
We show both Gold 24K and Gold 22K per 10g, plus Silver per 10g — all in INR. Prices are calculated from international COMEX spot prices (GC=F / SI=F), converted to INR using the live USD/INR exchange rate, and adjusted for India's 15% import duty and 3% GST. The 22K price is 91.67% of the 24K rate — the standard jewellery karat in India. Prices closely match IBJA and Google India gold rates.
